The artist was born on January 13, 1940 in the city of Zolotonosha in Cherkasy region. Since 1946, he lived and worked in Transcarpathia, which became his second homeland, the love to which he carried through his life.
In 1955-1959 he studied at the Uzhgorod College of Applied Arts and later continued his studies at the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1959-1965). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1973. Since 1990 - Honored Artist of Ukraine, since 2004 - People's Artist of Ukraine, 1997 - laureate of the Y, Bokshay and A. Erdelyi prize in the genre of painting. Solo exhibitions: 1981, 1984 - Uzhgorod, 1990, 1992 - Munich (Germany), 1994 - Trebišov (Slovakia), 1995 - Budapest (Hungary), 2000 - Uzhgorod.
Vyacheslav Prikhodko is a bearer of artistic traditions of the Transcarpathian painting known to the public as an artist with a creative view of the world, a talented colorist, a master of urban landscapes, scene composition, still life, etc. His art works accumulate aesthetic and philosophical ideas of the current time.
