Sergei (Sergey) Kovalenko was born in 1980 in Kontop, Ukraine, USSR. He graduated from the Kharkov Pedagogical Institute and gained acceptance into the Kharkov Art Academy where he is now completing his studies. As a student at the Academy, Kovalenko has studied in the studio of the People’s Artist, Victor Chaus, an honor reserved for exceptional students.
The talented young artist has participated in numerous student/Academy exhibitions including one held at the Kharkov Museum of Art. Kovalenko’s paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Croatia and the United States.
His most recent show was participation in the group exhibition, ″The Russians Return″, Charlotte, North Carolina, Elder Art.
